The White Fawn
Wenda, better known as Wenda the White Fawn, was a famous member of the Kingswood Brotherhood.
Wenda, better known as Wenda the White Fawn, was a famous member of the Kingswood Brotherhood a decade ago. She was said to be young and fair.
She dresses all in white, with a helm in made from the head of a fawn, white cloak, and a skimpy white leather outfit. She is in her late 30s, early 40s (if she is the same White Fawn of the Kingswood Brotherhood), attractive and athletic. She has been described as having scars on her legs from fighting with them bare.
Her trademark is to brand her victims with a fawn on their arse.
The Kingswood Brotherhood was an infamous outlaw organization during the reign of Aerys II. Operating out of the Kingswood, the Brotherhood gained recognition by kidnapping several nobles and evading early attempts to capture them. Ultimately they became such a nuisance that King Aerys sent a detachment of soldiers led by notable members of the Kingsguard to destroy them.
In a notable clash, Jaime Lannister, Ser Arthur Dayne, and Ser Barristan Selmy faced off against several notable outlaws including the Smiling Knight and the leader, Simon Toyne. Ser Barristan Selmy killed Simon Toyne, while Ser Arthur Dayne killed the Smiling Knight. Jaime Lannister regards the battle, in which he crossed swords with the Smiling Knight, as one of his fondest memories.
Other members of the Brotherhood included Wenda the White Fawn, Oswyn Longneck, the Thrice Hanged, Big Belly Ben, and Ulmer. All members are presumed dead except Ulmer, who joined the Night’s Watch to avoid execution.
Wenda branded her trademark, a fawn, on the arse Merrett Frey, a squire captured by the outlaws. Lord Sumner Crakehall ransomed Merrett back from her. It is not clear what happened to Wenda when the outlaws were destroyed.
Recently, rumors have surfaced that the White Fawn has appeared again in the North, raiding merchants from ports, and driving up the cost of goods. She is assumed to be fabulously wealthy, and has been rumored to play games with travelers through the north who pique her interest.
